Andrew J. Kisala, Attorney
Andrew attended law school at North Carolina Central University's School of Law, where he earned
his Juris Doctor degree and graduated with honors. Prior to attending law school, Andrew earned a
Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the prestigious Rutgers University, graduating with
honors. He successfully passed the North Carolina bar exam on his first attempt. Many great
attorneys take the North Carolina bar exam several times before passing.
Andrew was born and raised in the New Jersey suburbs. He first experienced the wonders of North
Carolina when he was stationed at Fort Bragg as a U.S. Army paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne
Division, leaving the Army as a decorated veteran. Following his time in service, he returned to New
Jersey to fulfill his boyhood dream of attending Rutgers University. After graduation, Andrew
worked in the home building industry, handling such complex matters as negotiations, planning, and
employee supervision. During the same period, Andrew volunteered in his community as a
firefighter. As part of this experience, he graduated from the fire academy, and successfully earned a
state firefighter license (NJ).
Currently, Andrew enjoys running with his wife and together, they have completed eight full-distance
marathons (26.2 miles each). Andrew also enjoys woodworking, and has built fine furniture from
trees he has harvested himself. However, his true joy is spending time with his wife and three
children, and their three very special canines exploring the wonders of North Carolina, as well as
being active in the community and with veterans' organizations.
Andrew is also a regular contributor to websites and blogs aimed at offering general legal information
to the public. To see some of Andrew's contributions: Click Here
